Here are a few interesting facts which set us apart from other local groomers!
- We only schedule one dog at a time unless the dogs are from the same family!
Doing so ensures your dog is the only dog in our shop while here for grooming. All of
our attention and focus is on your dog and your dog alone! No waiting in line!
- We have multiple times available during the day!
We usually have two times available each day. This means you have the option of
scheduling a morning or afternoon/night appointment for your dog. This is
great news if you need a later-in-the-day appointment. Most traditional grooming
salons require an early morning drop off and keep your dog most of the day.
- Your dog only stays here for the time it actually takes to be groomed, usually anywhere from an hour and a half to 3 hours total from the time you drop off.
Less time at the salon without having to wait in line means less anxiety and less
stress! Some nervous or fearful dogs can't handle the chaos and noise of regular
salons. Here, since they are the only dog, the atmosphere is much calmer, quiter and
more relaxing. This helps to reduce stress and lets your dogs feel at ease!
- We have previous pack leadership experience, are knowledgeable and familiar with dog behaviors.
Dogs tend to feel more secure, safe and relaxed when they are in the presence of a
pack leader. We do our best to work with the dogs in a way that they can relate to and
understand.
- We are willing to slow things down for those dogs who require special handling due to a handicap, old age, previous injuries, or general overall nervousness.
Not all grooming salons are willing to take in these kinds of dogs. We understand that
some dogs need a little extra TLC while they are here and we are ok with that! We only
ask that your dog, if over 50 lbs, is able to climb a set of stairs on their own.
- We don't use cage dryers.
We dry all dogs by hand only. Cage dryers are normally used in big establishments to
dry a large number of dogs simultaneously. We don't have that need here since we take
only one at a time. We feel we are much more personalized and can pay greater
attention to detail this way.
